Many specialized terms are used in Blockchain, AI and Crypto. This glossary defines terms used in order to help clarify the builder documentation for new contributors.

Builder

A Builder is a person, protocol, agent or entity which builds software, hardware or community. Morpheus Builders bring their capabilities and resources together to harness human and agentic energy and deploy it towards enabling open and decentralized artificial intelligence.

Agent

Software which uses AI models to make decisions, manage information, and collaborate with other software.

Model

A piece of software which takes an input and produces an output using intelligent pattern matching.

Forge

A tool to code and publish an agent to a registry. The Morpheus agent forge is being developed in the moragents repository.

Compute Node

Software which runs AI models and agents on powerful hardware which others can access remotely.

Compute Subnet

A web3 wallet associated with one or more Compute Nodes. The wallet receives MOR earnings from users and compute emissions proportional to the value of the inferences served (denominated in MOR).

Builder Subnet

A web3 wallet which can receive recurring token emissions proportional to amount of token delegation 8:30 PM
